To God's Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
Praise God!
I know that should be the overflow of our hearts always, but today my heart is filled with praise toward our God.
I am hearing almost every day of people inviting friends and family to be ministered to by our online material, and already lives are changing. We are seeing countries all over the world engaging, and our numbers, although sometimes hard to count tell me that our impact as a church is probably larger today than it has ever been. WOW!
We had some technical difficulties on Easter weekend. Our sound team shared with me that from an earthly perspective we should have crashed on that Sunday (did crash twice in our preparation to guide God's people in song). His words, "it is nothing short of a miracle that we did not crash". WOW!
Early on in the criss our offerings were down (as can be expected when we are not gathering) and we were wondering what we would need to cut to stay healthy. Longing to be good stewards we prayed and planned, but did not expect God's provision through you. Our giving us up, and our ministries can remain strong and engaging. I feel so blessed to be a part of a family like this, giving and gracious. WOW!
We are weak right now, partly because of the virus, partly because of forced isolation, but in our weakness God is strong and our ministry is not only surviving, it is THRIVING. Thank you! Please keep praying, connecting in online, and with one another, and make it a goal with us that no one would fall through the cracks at CBC. Reach up and reach out and our ministry will increase and flourish! THANK YOU!
Please pray for us as we continue to lead in uncertain times. We want to stay loyal to God and His Word, and to lead in such a way that our people stay connected and engaged! We need God's help and yours, so join us in this by engaging, posting, and connecting. WE NEED YOU to PRAY for us and JOIN us!
FAITH OVER FEAR: If you would like to be a part of our reaching out with the Gospel we are joining a FAITH OVER FEAR campaign that other churches in our community are engaged in. This is an effort to help you love in the name of Jesus and our church family. If you would like to be a part of this you can get a Faith over Fear card in our office foyer and hand it to a neighbour and help us love our community with practical effective ministry. This is offering to pray, bring a meal, or other practical things in this time of need. The more we serve together the greater our impact will be.
Don't Forget: Connect with us (Sunday, Bible Studies, Updates) and connect with one another. We are in the dog days of summer (tired of this) and as such need to make extra effort to be loving, patient, and take responsibility to reach out to others and help us all stay close to God and one another. This will end, and we want to grow deeper and wider through it!
Join us Wednesday night for time in God's Word, as we start a new study series, Certainty In Uncertain Times! It is worth doing this together, not just for you own heart, not only just to be together in spirit as we are in isolation physically, but also because it gives us an excuse to encourage one another! Don't miss Wednesday night prayer and Bible Study!
Sunday Is Coming:
Title: Mountain Top
Text: Romans 8:28-34
- What does it mean that God is for us? For you?
- Why is that so significant at such a time as this?
- What does it mean that He will graciously give us all things?
- Why is the idea of bringing a charge so important? Who will bring a charge against you?
- Who can you bring hope to this week?
In joyful, thankful service of the KING and His bride at CBC, IN AWE OF HIS FAITHFULNESS,
Pastor Rob
Don't forget to pray for God's missionaries that represent Him and us on the mission field. They need our prayers as they respond in their situations with the Gospel!
Pray for your elders and deacons as we seek God's best moving forward and lead humbly where only God can see and know the future. Certain in His plan, uncertain in our eyes!
