To God’s Beloved At Cloverdale Baptist Church:
I hope yesterday you took some time to REMEMBER what Canadian veterans have done for us, not only in the past, but also are doing for us now. I am thankful for those who serve our country, and who have sought to keep us free over the years. If you know someone who has served, take a moment to send them a text, or email and thank them.
Lori and I went to the service yesterday, and it was packed. I was thankful for that. It is good to REMEMBER. THANK YOU...
Spiritually, this (remembering) is one of the key roles that our pursuit of God plays. Remember who He is, remember what He has done! In fact Communion and baptism help us to remember, and this is key to our living our lives in holiness for God and His glory. Sunday mornings are a REMINDER of the greatness of our salvation and the passion we are to have to live for the glory of God!
We have a BAPTISM service coming on November 24, if you would like to know more please contact one of our pastors or elders.
Our theme this year as ELDERS is holiness, and we are working on letting that theme infiltrate our lives, and then the church we are entrusted to serve. Holiness is a concept that means set apart, absolutely pure, and God is holy and calls us to be holy.
Set apart for serving Him, and set apart for being like Him, IN THE WORLD BUT NOT OF THE WORLD. How can you grow in your understanding of the holiness of God, and in the context of His holiness be holy in all we do?
How can we live set apart lives, and in that choose to be pure in a world that has gone mad in its dirt?
Take steps that are practical and passionate to know God better and to live to Him more fully!
Sunday Is Coming:
We Have Been Infiltrated:
Jude 1-16
Take the time to read the entire book, preferably every day so that you learn the context and what it teaches…
- Why do you think we are commanded to struggle?
- What does it mean to struggle for the faith?
- How can we submit to the Lordship of Jesus in every area of our lives?
- What steps are you taking to make sure that you are watching your life and doctrine closely?
- What areas of your life do you need to realign with God’s Word?
- How can you please God with your choices even as God is pleased with you in Christ?
- How is the book of Jude changing your lives?
Make sure to stay informed and engaged with the bride of Christ!
A fellow pilgrim who delights in the grace of God,
Pastor Rob
